036: Doug Fir-in' It

A composite of sketches I did while waiting for a rock show (Bishop Allen/John Vanderslice) to start at the ever-hip Doug Fir. Except for the bit about Bishop Allen's lead singer, which was done when I got home.

035: December Done-ish?

Still not sure if I'm completely sassified with this one. I need to get my brain away from it for a little while.

034: Interim Artstuffs

Sorry about the delay in posting. I've been having some lower back pain recently, which makes it hard to stay put at the drawing board. Because of that, and a desire to finish up this year's brownpaperbag calendar, I'm putting my hastilly-announced Harry Potter week on hold. Instead, I'll probably chronicle some of the calendar work I'm doing. Here's a partially completed view of my December image:

More to come...

033: Guess Who Didn't...

...Draw At All While He Was On Vacation?

Well, to be honest, I did draw one thing worth posting here:

Well, "worth posting" my be subjective in this case...
But I don't hang my head too low in shame. I did get a chance to get away from Portland life for a bit, see my mum and do a lot of walking around San Francisco. Oh... and reading lots of Harry Potter.

Another reason I didn't draw so much is that I was busy reading Books Five and Six of the series. And had I brought it with me, I'd probably have put a good dent into Book Seven (instead I start it tonight). I mention this because I've decided to spend the next week drawing images inspired by the series. Cheer or groan at this news as you wish. Wands at the ready, suckas!

032: Deathly Peters

Today I'm leaving to go on a week-long vacation. While I'll probably have limited internet access, I won't be able to upload any art, so there won't be any updates until I get back. Not sure if I'll try to make up for the days I'll miss or just start fresh when I return. I'll figure it out later. In the meantime, adios!

031: Portland Dogwear

Based on actual observation, though the tiny hat was my own invention.
